The fourth in a fantastic series of animal stories for younger readers by Waterstones Children's Book Prize-shortlisted author Helen Peters, with beautiful black-and-white illustrations by Ellie Snowdon.

When Jasmine and Tom rescue an abandoned kitten, they are desperate to keep her. But Jasmine's parents insist that Holly must be sold. Jasmine and Tom are determined to give Holly the best ever Christmas present - a good home...

I loved reading Lucky the lamb from the same author as I just love farms. So I borrowed this book from my library. The main characters are the same, Jasmine and Tom. In this story they rescue an abandoned kitten which they call Holly but their mum and dad refuse to keep Holly and want he to be sold. It is a book that made me smile and that made me cry. The characters seem so real and close to you.
