The boldest, brightest new heroine is back: and Robyn Silver's life
hasn't got any quieter since defeating the evil vampire Pearl
in The Midnight Chimes. She's now a fully fledged Chime Child and
monster-hunter-in-training alongside best friends Aiden and Nora.
The three suddenly start seeing nightmares - in the form of black
beetles - appear around town. Who wants the people of Grimdean
to be losing sleep - and why?

This book is very good.
I liked the cover and the title to start with... it looked very inreresting.
I love stories with heroes and heroines and this one is lots of fun. It's has action and mystery and it kept me hooked.
The characters are fun and I like the fact that they are all friends.
I like it very much and I have told my friends to read it too.

This is a great story, its pretty creepy but i really enjoyed it. Robyn and her friends are great characters, its really cool to see a girl as the hero. This book is part of a series but works well on its own. I would recommend to others.

The second in the Robyn Silver series and just as good.  Packed full of dangerous beasts and epic battles.  In this one, Robyn and her fellow Chimes (including the addition of a Chime wolf - Pudding) find themselves battling a Nightmare Man.  Can they save the town from their deepest, darkest nightmares?  Perfect for readers aged 8+  Spooky but not too scary with no graphic horror.

I wanted to read this straight away because the cover looked like an adventure was inside and a girl hero was going to save the day. It was a good story. I liked how exciting it was. I wouldn't say it's my favourite but I would definitely recommend it to others.

I liked this book finding out about Robyn as a Chime Child, her Chime training and fellow chime friends. It is a book of fast adventures and lots of fun drama.  I love how they see monsters who others can't and fight them. I liked the part at the end that shows the monsters and their pictures. The pictures through the book are nice.

I would recommend this to my friends and I would read other books in this series.

I read this book to my eight year old daughter at bedtime. It's very rare I read to her these days but she found this book really difficult to get into so I suggested I read it to her instead. She did quite like it once we got into it but I still never found her picking it up and reading it herself as she would have if it was a book she really loved.

Robyn is a character you can't help but like, and there was a lot of action in this book. However over all it just wasn't engaging as it could have been. I felt there was a lot of potential there to make a better book.

The book has a great idea for a story, at the start I really enjoyed the story. As I read on towards the middle of the story it got predictable and I didn't enjoy it as much.

I think the front cover could be better, it doesn't fit the story well.
