Miranda Twist grew up in the Scottish highlands. She studied Archaeology and Anthropology at Edinburgh University where she also ran the mythopoeic society. Once in a Blue Moon is her first book for children. 'I am a poet and a story teller. I began as a poet, writing my first poem when I was just six. Then I fell in love with stories and the magic of words.
