The Assessment Pack: Provides baseline assessment Find out what your pupils already know with 'Quick Quizzes'. Use this to choose the most appropriate teaching approach for each pupil. Includes formative assessment opportunities throughout 'Quick Checks' allow pupils to judge for themselves how well they are learning, and identify ways in which to improve. 'Target Sheets' encourage pupils to measure their own progress. Differentiated summative assessment With end-of-unit tests for every unit, containing SAT-style and How Science Works questions. Plus an open-ended summative task for every unit with levelled outcomes. End-of-year tests provided at different levels (L3-5 and L5-7 level descriptors, marking guidance and sample answers are provided). AT1 assessment Practical activities designed to develop strands of AT1. Suggests a full AT1 investigation for each unit. Level descriptions are adapted for each investigation, which can be used as a mark scheme.
