Rafe Khatchadorian is getting the Hollywood treatment in a film version of Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life starring Griffin Gluck, Lauren Graham, Rob Riggle and Thomas Barbusca.

After sixth grade, the very worst year of his life, Rafe Khatchadorian thinks he has it made in seventh grade. He's been accepted to art school in the big city and imagines a math-and-history-free fun zone. Wrong! It's more competitive than Rafe ever expected, and to score big in class, he needs to find a way to turn his boring life into the inspiration for a work of art. His method? Operation: Get a Life! Anything he's never done before, he's going to do it, from learning to play poker to going to a modern art museum. But when his newest mission uncovers secrets about the family Rafe's never known, he has to decide if he's ready to have his world turned upside down.

James Patterson's winning follow-up to Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is another riotous and heart-warming story about living large.

My daughter's first book of James Patterson was The Worst Years of My Life. She loved it a lot and she was so excited when she saw a second book in the series - Get me Out of Here! This book is an amazing sequel for the first one. The reader doesn't have to worry if he didn't read the first book in the series cause he won't lose the plot. Rafe got to move the big city and he was accepted to an amazing art school! Finally he felt that this is the place for him! But during his first classes all the students were informed that their future in this place depended on their talent and assignment which was to create drawings based on their awesome life experiences. And this is when another mission began

This book is amazing - it keeps you reading and you don't want to stop! Rafe is a funny boy who wanted to fit in with his class mates.
I think it's a must to read book!

So funny!! I am absolutely in love with the Middle School series and Rafe's frankly unfortunate adventures!

I found this book really amusing and enjoyed finding out more about Rafe, his family and what he's currently up to- i'd previously read Middle School Hollywood 101 which is equally as good.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone book.

This book was funny because Matty and Rafe become enemies even though they were friends at the start.  My avourite character is Rafe because he is creative and funny.  I recommend this book for boys and girls.

I love middle school books and read a lot of them, if you are new at reading them you don't need to read the others first before reading this only.

Very funny and made me laugh out loud so much my brother who is younger now has started reading it.

I'm a boy but think girls would like it as well.

I read this book without reading any of the other books in the series and it was fine, although I will now read the rest because I enjoyed this book.
This book reminded me a bit of "Diary of a wimpy kid" because it was all about getting into trouble at school and other funny things that happen.
I would recommend this book for children aged 9+, ideal for a girl or boy.

What a brilliant read!!! We thought it was just about some silly antics a boy would get upto in Middle School but it was so much more than that.

Rafe K has to move when his mother's workplace burns to the ground. He's a talented artist and gets into an Art school but unfortunately there's still bullies here. Not only does he have to keep his head down he also has to earn himself a place in the 8th grade.

Amatullah did find the ending really sad (so did I, very much so that I started crying) but it was also a fun and interesting book. The illustrations were amazing and made this book even special!! We can't wait to read all the other books in the series.

I do really enjoy the middle school books so was looking forward to reading this book. I really like the main character Rafe. In this book he moves to the big city but into a really small house. He goes to A new school where everyone are snobs. His mission on this book is to get an interesting life. It was easy to read on my own and I liked the cool black and white illustrations. I didn't want to put it down once I started reading it, but it was a good length, not too short. It made me laugh, I did feel sorry for Rafe lots of times but was glad the ending was happyish for him
