Pobblebonk Reading is a series of reading materials for the Early Years that incorporates the phonic principles in high-interest texts. The series seeks to ensure success in reading and writing through the explicit teaching of phonics while using authentic, meaningful materials. Written by experienced Early Years' teachers, the Pobblebonk Reading Teacher Resource Books help teachers identify the phonic principles and familiarise students with the text through Shared Reading. They provide: -Lesson plans and interesting activities to establish the relevant sound patterns for each text, helping students read with confidence -Four or more worksheets for each unit for related writing and reading practice and for assessment -Well-researched lists of children's books that can be read at home or independently in conjunction with each of the Pobblebonk texts The Teacher Resource Books include a CD containing all the texts in enlarged format for use in a Shared Reading situation.
