Ellie Morgan wants a boy who's all hers. Just for once, it would be nice to meet someone that Sheila (the cow) hadn't got her claws in to.A remote farmhouse on Mount Snowdon is hardly the ideal setting for meeting anyone - unless, of course, you count her best friend George or creepy Darren (which Ellie doesn't). But when a boy, glimpsed through the mist and snow, lures her up to the Devil's Bridge, Ellie realises the place she knows so well still has its secrets ...The stronger her feelings for this strange boy become, the more she is in danger: a battle as old as Snowdon itself has been raging for centuries and now Ellie's caught in the middle. Something has left its lair. It's out there stalking her. Who ever said true love was easy?

This is a good fantasy book for older primary school children or younger teenagers. It has an air of Lord of the Rings about it but it is nice to see Welsh culture being utilised throughout.

A really captivating book from the start. I was drawn in immediately into the plot trying to find what out what happens next. It is also love,y to have reference to Welsh culture but also to geographical location such as Snowdonia. I think George is a really sweet character. Ellie the main character can be bossy at times. I would recommend this book to 11 plus children.

I enjoyed reading this book but at times I found it slightly difficult to follow
The book is based on a love story but the boy Ellie likes happens to be a dragon
I would recommend the book for people who like Wales and welsh folk tales
I think the book is suitable from age 10 +

I tried to get in to this but I felt it was still a bit old for me and didnt understand bits so going to save it for another year. As I like the blurb and I think I will enjoy it. I am just 12

If you like fantasy style books you will love this.

I really enjoyed reading this Here be Dragons. Once I got into it I just had to keep reading to find out what would happen. I really liked the characters and I now want to go to Wales as I have never been.
I think my best friend will like this book but some of my friends (I'm in year 6) would really struggle, so maybe it's better for older children.

We enjoyed this (especially given that we have Welsh relatives so it's great to see the language being used).  A classic love story against the odds.  George loves Ellie but she has fallen for a mysterious boy she saved from a snowstorm on Snowdon.  Slight problem is that the object of her affections, Henry, has an alter ego - he's a dragon.  Not only that he's in a centuries old battle with his uncle.  Both are interested in Ellie for very different reasons.

It's great to see a capable girl as the protagonist who can give as good as she gets and George is a wonderful, lovelorn, sidekick - almost to the extent that you swish she'd forget about Henry!

There's loads of mileage in this tale and I assume this is the first of what will be an exciting series

This story is based around Welsh legends and language. Ellie sees a strange boy on the mountains this where it all starts. He is Henry and he is a dragon. There is a few twists and some good characters in this book. Its good for teenagers to read.

A book set in Wales so of course it should have dragons in it! But does it. The story centres around Ellie and is an engaging mix of myth and legend in a remote part of the country. A great book with a romance factor, but is one for older or more mature readers.

I don’t often read fantasy books this one was quite enjoyable. I did find it a bit difficult to read and follow at times though. I think it is better suited for kids older than me. It’s one I will keep and read again in the future.
