The Neutron Stars programme is a structured reading programme with systematic progression, for teens/adults who need low level reading support. The series has ten levels of books starting with four phonics levels covering Phases Two to Five of the Letters and Sounds programme, followed by six Book Bands Pink through to Orange. The range of titles includes fiction and non-fiction titles with fresh, modern books, in 'trade paperback' format, for instant older appeal. The books are age appropriate both in terms of topics and story lines and illustrations and photos.
The series is multicultural and inclusive in its scope, topics and stories with both boy and girl appeal.
