Cambridge Reading is a major new reading scheme providing stimulating books and support materials for the teaching of reading throughout the primary years. Key features include: a coherent yet flexible structure for teaching and learning; a variety of attractive picture books; a balance of text types and genres, including stories, poems and information books; an integrated phonics programme; comprehensive support materials. There are nine titles in the Poetry strand of the Becoming a Reader stage. Six have been chosen by Richard Brown and Kate Ruttle and have a variety of illustrators. Three of these are anthologies, each with a specific theme: One Blue Hen's is colour, Peas in a Pod's counting and Wiggle and Giggle's movement. The remaining three each present a well known poem for children.
This is Book 94 in the Cambridge Reading Routes Series. See all Cambridge Reading Routes books here.
