This book really helped my two year old with his potty training, he's now fully potty trained and that is in no small part down to this book. It was engaging, easy to understand, bright interesting illustrations and Riley loved looking at the different pottys and picking one for him, mummy, daddy and 'baba', and pants too, which made us giggle when he chose pink frilly pants for mummy and purple long johns for daddy :)

This book is fab.  My son had no interest in potty training, but at 3 1/2 all his friends were out of nappies so we felt we needed to encourage things a bit more.  This book was great for getting him feeling more confident on the potty.  I especially liked the fact that it talks about how doing a poo on the potty feels funny and is hard!  The 'yay!' Button was very popular too.

A lovely, fun book.  I'll be using it again with my daughter when she's older.

This book is a super resource to use whilst potty training your child. This sturdy board book is proving rather popular with my daughter and it has been read many times. She doesn't seem to mind that the main character is a boy although there is the girl equivalent book. The book is encouraging explaining that Pirate Pete wanted to be big like his older family members and not wear nappies like his baby brother. The book is filled with bright, fun illustrations and the book comes complete with a sound button of cheer. It is interactive in that it asks questions about what potty/pants your child would prefer. My daughter loves this element of the book and we often end up going through the entire family, grandparents and all, of which pants we think they would like to wear.

My 2 year old absolutely loved this book. We started reading it before he started potty training and it really got him prepared. Before we started with a potty he picked big boy pants and a new potty (just like Pirate Pete) and it really helped with the whole process. Even though he is now fully potty trained he still goes back and reads it every now and then. He is really looking forward to reading it to his little brother when he starts potty training. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous book that explains potty training  at a level well for the audience. The book addresses the apprehension the child might face & has some humour. Bright pictures & a sound book which is a big hit

Boty my boys sailed through potty training with this book.  The fun
Illustrations and honest story of peters fear of potty training and then cracking it seems to be understood by even small children. The button of "praise" helps to reinforce the positive behaviours and certainly encouraged my boys to use the potty and toilet.

I've bought this for mum friends as I really think it's fantastic!

We tried this book out to help our reluctant young man.  Pirate Pete is ready to move on from nappies and into big pirate pants and this book takes him on a step by step journey on how that needs to happen.  It's great that it mentions accidents so your child knows mistakes happen and that they're no big deal.  I can't say it made our boy instantly ready to use a potty but at least it got us talking more about it which he had been reluctant to do before.
