I have got this book to help with trying to get my daughter to start using the potty. It is about a little girl that wants to be more grow up and her journey of using the potty. The book allows your child to pick what potty the princess may like and  what they like. Children are able to push the well done button which cheers.

My little girl liked this book.  A simple to understand message about being brave enough to try the potty!  Lots of chance to talk about what you can see e.g. which potty/pants would you choose?  Interactive with a button to press to 'cheer'!

This was perfect to assist me with potty training my 2 year old.
She loved the sound button (applause) and had a great interest in the cartoon style pictures in the book.
This certainly helped to reassure her about what I was trying to teach her, I’m sure it made the process quicker too.

I bought this to try help my daughter potty train, it follows princess polly on her journey to potty training. The illustrations are bright and colourful and exciting and my daughter loves pressing the button to cheer but I found there were way too many words and too much complication for my daughters age, we used the pictures and cheering but I've had to read her simplified specific parts of it or it'd just be too much

This is a nice little book designed to introduce your baby/toddler to potty training. It follows princess polly on her journey from nappies to potty trained in nice easy steps. It lets you and your child discuss things like choosing a potty and their own pants and leads a discussion on the difference between pee and poo. My daughter likes the book although I think there were a few too many words for when we started potty training. I just read her the jist though lol she loves pressing the button that cheers and overall I think it was a good aid in her journey.

Princess Polly is a little girl who is in the process of potty training. The story helps little girls to understand how and why they need to move from nappies to using the toilet. It's bright and very pink (which appealed to my daughter!). There's a little button on the front that makes a cheering noise. It is a clear and sturdy book for toddlers.

We bought this for our then 18 month old to introduce the idea of the potty/toilet (not specifically for toilet training)
Great hardback book with a fab cheering sound - however even six months later it is a bit 'wordy' for our little one and all she wants to do is press the sound button and after a few pages she loses interest.  The choosing the pants and potty pages are great fun for her and me (especially as she insists the yellow bloomers are for Daddy!!).
Its not one of her favourite books but she does go back to it at least weekly - she hasn't cracked it yet so maybe it may be better for her at that time.

Sweet book but my daughter didn't really take to it and was initially a bit wary of the noise. I think its a good idea though.

Have recently bought this book as an introduction to potty training.  Although I didn't have any such thing with the older 2i thought I'd give it a go this time round.

The book centres around princess polly and has pages where she chooses from a selection of pants and potties. It also shows what polly has done in the potty so youngsters can distinguish between pee and poo. Also covers toilet hygiene and hand washing. This book is aimed at girls.

The sound button is a cheer.  Not sure why I was expecting it to be a flushing sound.  A flushing sound added might have been a bonus.

There is a sticker book with reward chart that accompanies this book abs I would recommend getting both.

Ultimately this book is not necessary in order to potty train but if it helps then why not?

I believe there is also a Pete potty book aimed more at boys.
