Slinky Malinki steals anything from a clothes peg, to a slipper, to a string of sausages, to a clock! Our hero is a BAD cat! The story is told in wonderful rhyme and through pictures full of life and movement.

Another in the Hairy Maclary series - and just as enjoyable as the original.
Slinky Malinki is a beautiful black cat who likes to skulk around the neighbourhood stealing from local families.
All is well (apart from for the victims!) until one night when he overstretches himself.
Lovely rhymes, and lots of almost musical words and phrases to get your tongue around (my particular favourite is 'rapscallion cat', although 'Jennifer Turkington's pottery smock' runs it a close second).  A definite favourite in this family.

This is a very cute book with rhyming and great illustration. It's about a naughty cat who Likes to go out in the middle of the night and take belongings from houses..... until one day he's caught by his family!! A firm favourite in my house with both boys!!

A delighful book full of brilliant rhyming. My 7 and 5 year old both enjoyed having this book read to them.
It's about a cat who relishes stealing but eventually gets caught out.
Lynley Dodd's creation are a joy to read. I look forward to my next one.

I read this to my 3 and a half year old daughter for her bedtime story, this book has passed down from my oldest to my middle child and now to my youngest. It's a lovely rhyming story and a mischievous black cat that gets up to all sorts around his neighbourhood. This is a fun rhyming book for young children, the cat does all sorts of naughty, funny things that made my daughter giggle, one of our favourite bedtime books.

I love this book, probably helped by the fact I'm a cat lover. The cat gets into all sorts of trouble at night and one night he gets caught out. I have always wondered what my cat is up to at night. The rhyming of the book is great and it flows well. My kids enjoy this book too!

We love that the Hairy Maclary series has an equally mischievous cat!
Georgie thought the mischief he got up to was very funny; I thought it was funny hownlike a child the cat was!
As ever, wonderful rhyming and repetition that allowed Georgie to take part in the story.
