This is a delightful, brand new title in the award-winning "That's Not My..." series. You'll find hamsters with soft paws, squashy cheeks and a furry tummy, along with the familiar mouse inside this chunky board book. Rachel Well's colourful illustrations, along with the tactile touchy-feely patches have never-ending appeal for delight babies and toddlers. The textural patches and the descriptive words help to develop babies' and toddlers' sensory and language development.

This is our current read for my baby and he loves the different textures of the patches in hampster's body parts and colourful pages. It makes him smile each and every time when he feels the different patches but specifically he loves 'tufty' back.

We got this from the library. My 5yr old also read it to her baby brother. She liked on the different pages that there were different textures you can feel, which is good fun for toddlers.

My daughter is a huge fan of that’s not my books and was over the moon to see this one at the library.
Not too sure if she understands what a hamster is but she loved the textiles in this particular book especially the tufty and the tummy which she would turn the pages to find and sit with. She does like to touch all the parts of the books whilst chatting away to herself.

I don't think this is the best 'that's not my book, it is still full of nice material to stroke and nice bright pictures. Would be particularly good if the child had a hamster.

We have a couple of the other books in this series but this one feels like the publisher is really pushing it by just releasing another one for more profit. The premis is the same as all the others eg each page has some material with a reason why "that's not my hamster" but hamsters aren't ultimately that different. My daughter loves the original "dolly" book but, like me, wasn't that impressed with this one.
