Black Beauty is born on an idyllic English farm before moving to Birtwick Park, where he is treated with kindness and love. However, when he is forced to leave his perfect home, he soon learns how hard Victorian England can be for a working horse. Despite all his troubles, Beauty never loses hope that someday he will find a home where he belongs.
