The changing information-seeking behavior of users has resulted in increased demand for up-to-date information from a variety of sources via various methods. Therefore, the application of ICTs is crucial in meeting the current information needs of stakeholders. With the majority of information sources now being published in digital formats, the emergence of digital libraries has transformed the information dissemination landscape. Users now have access to a wide range of libraries and information sources, which can only be made possible through the development of digital libraries. However, access to information remains a challenge that must be addressed by developing digital libraries on suitable platforms. To address these emerging issues, the editors have invited contributors to submit relevant papers, resulting in this book which covers some of the emerging topics in digital libraries that are of particular relevance to library and information professionals.
