I read it to Soopa aged 1 aged 1

This book features the characters from In The Night Garden. It has buttons at the side that you can press for various noises.  Safe to say my daughter loves it and insists on only pressing the same button all the time - fun for her, annoying for the rest of us!  There's no real story to get involved with, the novelty is in pressing the buttons.

I read it to RCHogan aged 2 aged 2 & to AIHogan aged 1 aged 1

This noisy book features characters from the TV programme In the Night Garden, with the Pinky Ponk as the main focus.

The "story" is very basic and pretty much involves the Pinky Ponk landing and taking everyone for a ride before landing again. The pictures are bright and toddlers enjoyed looking at them initially but there's not a great deal to talk about past the characters, trees and what they're doing.

After the text on each page there is a key to instruct the child which buttons to press at that point. Neither of my children paid attention to this.

They weren't really interested story at all and barely looked at the pictures after a first "read". They more interested in pressing the buttons at random. It doesn't hold their attention for very long.

I don't think there's much longevity with this book; it's a bit of a novelty but not much more. The most interest is held in the buttons.
