I really enjoyed this book it was awesome! I loved it so much I've told all my friends about it and they want to read it. The start of the story was really sad, but the ending was very happy! The hamster was my favourite character , he was really funny.

The book is unexpectedly good. It is funny, gripping and unputdownable. My favourite character is Knitbone because of his courage and determination and his attitude to never give up. I would love to read the other books in the series as well.

This book is about a ghost dog called Knitbone Pepper trying to help his owner Winnie save her home. At first I really wasn't sure if I was going to like this book. It was sad to read about a dog who had died and how upset his owner Winnie was. This worried me a bit. However once Knitbone met the rest of the 'beloveds' I really started to enjoy it. I loved the fact that the other beloveds were different pets from long ago at Starcross Hall. The best characters were Krispin O'Mystery and his gang. I loved reading about how he tries to capture the beloveds, the seance bit was really funny after the beloveds had eaten all the pink wafers. I also liked it when Winnie sees shadows in the photo in the newspaper which looked like Knitbone. I really enjoyed this book and loved all the great pictures, I definitely want to read the next one.

I have to admit that I quite enjoyed this one, it was slow to start but the plot played out nicely and the treatment of Krispin had me chuckling.

A sign of how good a children's book is can be shown by how interested my daughter is, some books can be long winded and she gets bored. This one had plenty of laughs and mayhem in it so it kept her interest all the way through, she is now demanding the next book in the series.

The book deals with the death of a pet and Winnie's grief is well written, it was very touching. The collection of ghosts were some great characters and I always enjoy it when a character has a funny accent for me to do so Orlando was my favourite.

If you got kids who still let you read to them then I highly recommend this book.

There is a girl who really misses her dead dog. Knitbone Pepper was her dog and he is now a ghost who no-one can see. Knitbone meets SOS who are a gang of other dead animals. I found this book boring, because the chapters were too long and not much happens. I also found it upsetting because I don't want to read about dead animals unless it is funny and this was not. Maybe if you are older than 7 you will enjoy it but I did not.
