Pamela Butchart Biography
Pamela Butchart is a Scottish children's author and a secondary school philosophy teacher. Her best known books, The Spy Who Loved School Dinners and My Head Teacher is a Vampire Rat have both won awards including the Children’s Book Award 2016, the Blue Peter Best Book Award 2015 and she was shortlisted for The Laugh Out Loud Book Awards 2016. Since her first book hit shelves in 2014, she has had 18 more books published.

Pamela lives in Dundee with her husband and two cats, Bear and Carlos.

It was announced in 2017 that Pamela would write the 16th and 17th Secret Seven stories, the first in the Enid Blyton series since 1963.

Pamela has loved the work of author and illustrator Judith Kerr since she was a little girl. The Mog series was her favourite and inspired her to become a picture book author.
