Jason grew up in Yorkshire and attended the Bradford College of Art. Later he attended the Camberwell College of Art before moving to Axminister, Devon, where he now lives with his family.

Jason has produced illustrations for permanent exhibitions at the Natural History Museum, and he is the official illustrator for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. He has written and illustrated several books for Simon & Schuster, Little Tiger, Templar and Macmillan.
