Emma Dodd Biography
Emma Dodd is an award winning children's books illustrator and author. Emma illustrated the award-winning Amazing Baby series which won the 2010 Booktrust Early Years Awards for I Love My Mummy, written by author Giles Andreae. Emma was also nominated for the 2011 Kate Greenaway Medal for her book, I Love Bugs.

Emma was born in Guildford, Surrey in 1969. She studied Art and Design at Kingston Polytechnic before graduating in graphic design and illustration from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Emma previously worked in advertising and editorial roles for some well-known companies including The Guardian, The Observer and She magazine. At the same time Emma began illustrating children's books.

Emma lives in Surrey with her husband, two children and dog called Buzz.

Emma loves surfing with her children and hates hearing children complain they are bored to which she replies, "How can you ever be bored when you can always draw a picture?"
