Flying Fergus 7: The Wreck-It Race: by Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy, written with award-winning author Joanna Nadin
Author: Chris Hoy Illustrator: Clare Elsom
This book really suited my 6 year old he loved the sporty theme and I felt like the characters were really good examples to him. I think it brings up some really interesting topics for children and makes them aware the difficulties others can face in.a light hearted way.

The Dinosaur That Pooped A Planet!
Authors: Tom Fletcher , Dougie Poynter Illustrator: Garry Parsons
This book is absolutely adored by both my boys. My eldest falls about laughing when the dinosaur poops which is so lovely to hear. The illustrations are great and the story moves quickly. We have just bought the christmas one which I am looking forward to reading.

There's a Dragon in my Stocking!
Author: Tom Nicoll Illustrator: Sarah Horne
Pan the dragon is a very cheeky little dragon which my son loved. The story is split into chapters which are the perfect length for bedtime. The illustrations are nice too which helped to bring the story alive. We will definitely read more books in this series now.

My 5 year old thinks dirty bertie is hilarious and this book didn't disappoint him. There are 3 stories and Thomas enjoyed them all. He enjoys school based stories at the moment as he has just started School so this particular compilation was a winner.

The Boy Who Switched off the Sun
Author: Paul Brown Illustrator: Mark O'Hanlon
This is a lovely book the pages are lovely thick glossy paper which makes it feel really nice. The illustrations are eyecatching as well as colourful and really appealed to my 4 year old. He loved the story line as ice cream is also one of his favourite things and he loves the idea of space and rockets. It really captured his imagination and made him laugh which is always a good thing. He has asked for it every bedtime since it's arrival. Definitely a thumbs up!
