The Memory Tree
Author: Britta Teckentrup Illustrator: Britta Teckentrup
This is an amazing book to try to help kids understand the loss of a loved one. It's really hard to explain but this book does it for you in such a nicer way.

Not So Normal Norbert
Author: James Patterson
Daniel really loved this book. He thought Norbert was really funny and is actually one of those books that are hard to put down! It's an adventure book for older kids but still has alot of imagination. Highly reccomended

My Mixed Emotions: Learn to Love Your Feelings
Author: DK
This book is really good to get children to understand their feelings. I feel there isn't enough books to explain to kids about mental health etc and this is a brilliant book to support them and to understand it's normal to feel a certain way. My son has recently lost his nan, and this book has showed him that it's ok to talk about his feelings and to get it out rather than bottle it up. It's a really colourful book and it explains it in terms children will understand. The illustrations are cool and Daniel particularly pointed out the sad person showing a happy face. I would highly reccomend it.

Michael Rosen's Sad Book
Author: Michael Rosen Illustrator: Quentin Blake
I was reccomended this book and it's genius. It teaches kids about sadness and grief. It also shoes them that it's ok to cry and not to bottle up all of their feelings. Highly reccomend this for children who are grieving for the loss of a family member and need to speak about it. Also the illustrations are amazing, Quentin Blake, one of my all time faves!
