Selling so many copies, the world fell in love with protagonist Marinka who just dreams of a normal life, where her house stays in one place long enough for her to make friends. But her house has chicken legs and moves on without warning. That's because her grandmother is Baba Yaga, who guides spirits between this world and the next. 

The story continued to stay in the hearts of so many readers that in 2026 we finally got a sequel, in which Marinka's home, the same home she so long struggled to accept, needs saving. And in doing so, she must face some of her own fears.

The books each tackle themes of love, loss, acceptance and freedom, and are beautifully written, turning any learner into a lifelong reader.
