For little ones aged 5+ who are just beginning to read independently, this is a full-colour illustrated series packed with puzzles to solve and superhero animals. 

Each book in the series is about 80 pages long and features a different superhero animal that's on a mission. The baddies in town know no limits and the Supersquirrel, Superpoodle and the other heroes of the Animal Action Squad need help solving puzzles, mazes and tests on each page to kick those baddies to the curb. These books are a great help in developing reading, as they are made up of simple text, comic strips and lots and lots of colourful illustrations.

You don't have to read these books in any particular order, and they are perfect for shared reading too. If you love this Usborne series and are wondering what a step up could be for your little one, do also take a look at the Puzzle adventures books, which also have puzzles on each page.
