Welcome to Grandma Nan's log cabin, all built by her! It looks like an old fairy tale cottage, homely and warm, nestled at the edge of the lake among a glade of towering pine trees. It's made of wood, has a tatty pitched roof covered by moss and is full of cracks filled by glue and thread with a tilting stone chimney. And Rosa has left her big city life to come and live here with her not-so-ordinary grandmother, on Big Sky Mountain.

Rosa's new life on the mountain stores endless adventures and fun for her, starting with her new roommates: Albert the moose and Little Pig the pygmy owl! From canoeing down rapids to making friends with the local animals, life never stays still for long on Big Sky Mountain!

Rosa has a lot to learn, and each book sees unexpected visitors to the mountain causing a bit of a ruckus (tiny wolf club, anyone?), or mountain-girl things needing to be done (like building a cabin when a storm strikes or cleaning up a polluted beach and building a raft for otters). Full of outdoors cosy adventure fun, these books are perfect for children that just wish they could enjoy the sun on rainy days.
