Sato the Rabbit is the picture book series from Japan that has won awards and capture imaginations around the world, pleasing both little ones and the grown-ups.

In each book, protagonist Sato goes on many a journey of wonder and discovery through everyday things, like rain puddles that can turn into windows and sunlight speckled through forest leaves that can be gathered up and used at night. Each little scene is surrealist but also soothing, inspiring little ones' imagination and encouraging older readers like ourselves to slow down and enjoy the small things in life.

We also highly recommend these books if you're a lover of illustration and art, with each page bursting with vivid colours and watercolour illustrations.

This is a wonderful series to read if you're a fan of the Slow Down books but would like something with more whimsy.
