The Riftwar Saga is the first trilogy of books in the larger Riftwar Cycle, written by bestselling author Raymond E. Feist. We recommend this series for all YA high fantasy lovers.

Set in a world called Midkemia, the series follows three main characters, Pug, Tomas and Prince Arutha, as they fight for their planet's survival when alien soldiers arrive to their land. The story takes place over the span of twelve years and is a brilliant true fantasy story, with incredible battle sequences, fantastic coming-of-age arcs for each of the main characters and wars between planets that bring sci-fi elements to fantasy worlds.

The Riftwar Saga is perfect if you're a Lord of the Rings fan. We recommend starting the series, and the larger Rifwar Cycle itself, from book one, Magician.
