The Saga of Darren Shan has been particularly successful warranting the creation of a film adaptation of the first novel in the series. More recently he has written the Zom-B series which has added more great teen horror to his growing repertoire.

In the first instalment in the series, Darren goes to an outlawed freak show with his closest friend, Steve. But after a daring attempt to steal a spider from Mr.Crepsly the uncanny Cirque Du Freak director goes wrong Darren finds himself having to make a bargain with beings of the night.
