Warriors: Omen of the Stars is the fourth arc in the bestselling Warriors series by Erin Hunter, beloved by fans of animal adventures and epic fantasy. First published between 2009 and 2012, this six-book series follows a new generation of Clan cats as they uncover a dark prophecy and face threats that test their loyalty, courage, and destiny. The arc begins with The Fourth Apprentice and concludes with The Last Hope, where long-running storylines from previous arcs are resolved.

Omen of the Stars is best read after Power of Three, as it continues key plotlines and deepens character relationships. It also lays the groundwork for the fifth arc, Dawn of the Clans, which serves as a prequel, and the later A Vision of Shadows series.

Ideal for confident readers aged 9+, the series offers rich themes of identity, leadership, and community—perfect for sparking discussions in classrooms and book groups.

Written by several authors under the pseudonym of Erin Hunter, there are over 40 Warrior Cats books in the universe. Warriors began with The Prophecies Begin series which follows the adventures of the ThunderClan as epic battles for territory and honour are played out amongst the wild cats. 

There are six books in the original The Prophecies Begin series, but the cats’ adventures continue in the other Warriors sub-series (see all Warriors series in order below). 

Fans can also enjoy Warrior cats games, quizzes and more on the website, as well as a Warrior Cats’ clans family tree (warning: contains spoilers!).
