I think that this book is amazing I love how they go in disguise to save a prisoner...   The characters are extremely good detectives and should be police officers when they grow up .This book is an adventure and a mystery . The illustrations are very good . I recommend this book. I absolutely  this book.

We loved this book! I didn't read famous 5 and secret 7 as a child thinking they were a bit old fashioned so neither of us knew what was going to happen next. My son did get a bit scared at one point, so I had to look ahead and promise him that all would be OK. This book is utterly charming. We have book two out of the library and book 3 on order. Loved it, and I was wrong. Its not old fashioned, just a jolly good read.

This is a lovely introduction to mystery style books for young children, there is just enough danger to keep the children interested without scaring them in any way.

My daughter has really enjoyed reading the Secret Seven. It's exciting and mysterious without being too scary; perfect for her age group. Although the cover has been brought up to date, the language is sometimes a bit old-fashioned, but that adds to the charm.
