After an eventful morning of hilarious mishaps, Mrs. Dotty Noodle sends her husband, Barmy, to buy some vegetables for dinner. Money is very tight and he decides that buying some packets of vegetable seeds will be far better value in the long run. He has some more hilarious mishaps on the way, but when he returns Dotty is not at all impressed. What will they eat tonight? She chases Barmy down the garden wielding a broom. Barmy jumps over the hedge into a ditch and finds - well, you'll have to read the story to discover - but they DO have a lovely dinner that night!
