Girls can do anything is an encouraging, fantastically illustrated read. It's representation of all girls is brilliantly diverse. The text is fun and rhythmic and is sure to get young readers thinking about their dreams.
My daughters love this book.

Georgie chose this book from the library as our family motto is that we can do anything we choose.
She loved reading this book and seeing all of the different things she can already do and might be able to do as she gets older. It has given her lots of ideas!
From my point of view, I appreciated that of the successful females shown at the back of the book, several had disabilities. One of them is deaf, like Georgie, so she could really connect to it on a personal level.

I absolulty love the concept and idea behind this story. It's lovely but without being too much! My daughter doesn't seem overly keen on it at the moment. I've tried to read her it a few times but she often tells me to read something different! I'm hoping when she's a little older she will really beginning to like it as much as I do. We originally got this from the library after enjoying previous Caryl books. I put it straight on the wish list as I just adored how you can personalise the story just by reading it to your own daughter (or child). I love the repetitive rhyme to emphasise that she is strong and should be proud of who she is and that there's only one YOU and I love you very much. It also include some inspiring women of history too. I've since bought it as a birthday gift for another little girl and we mummy to enjoy .

Definitely one for parents of girls.  This really is a celebration of girl power and a reminder to children that they don't need to limit their ambitions, regardless of what gender they are.  Fun illustration and easy to read rhyming text make this a really charming read, with an important message too!
