Nixie the bad, bad fairy isn't really that bad . . . at least, she doesn't think she is. But sometimes she has to be a teeny-tiny bit bad because that goody, goody fairy, Adorabella, is just too . . . well . . . just too GOOD.
Fairy dust and magic are fine, but when your wand's as mischievous as you are, sometimes you have to rely on your own genius inventions to get you out of trouble!

I really enjoyed this book! It had lots of funny words in it that made me laugh.I like how Nixie the bad bad fairy plays tricks on people. her wand is naughtier than herself.I found the book very interesting and quite easy to read.I really liked the pictures they made me laugh, especially when Adorabella fell in the mud.I loved all the activities at the back of the book. The recipe for Lemon frosted cakes looks delicious, I hope to make them with my mum one day.I think this book would sell all around the world and I'd love to read more of these books.

My little girl was very eager to read this book – I think the idea of a bad fairy really appealed to her as fairies are usually good! Nixie isn’t really bad though – she is just naughty and her wonky wand doesn’t help matters! There is also a goody-goody fairy called Adorabella – although it turns out she is also a bit naughty (and a little bit annoying!). We love Nixie!! It’s a story about all the fairies getting ready for the biggest event of the fairy calendar – the Blossom Ball. But will it be the best Blossom Ball ever?! The chapters are short, the font is quite big and the text is spaced out which makes it less daunting for a younger child to tackle. It has nice black and white illustrations and quirky text all the way through and there are even recipes and things to do at the back! Overall, a great book that has become a bedtime favourite in our house!!

I was really lucky because I won this book straight from the publisher.    This book is about a fairy called Nixie, who is always getting the blame for things Adorabella does.  I think it is good when Nixies friends Fidget and Fizz catch Adorabella with Nixies stolen wand and they get her back by turning her clothes into candy floss.  This book is very enjoyable and funny, children my age will love it.  I give it five stars.

I loved this book, it's nice to see a story from a not so perfect fairy point of view. She's naughty but lovable. Great book.

I read this book to my 5 year old. It took us  while to get going with it and funnily Scarlett was slightly put off at the beginning due to the fact Nixies favourite animal was spiders! Scarlett HATES spiders and it actually put her off reading the book for a while!   Once we got into the book she really started to enjoy it. It was a great transition from a picture book to a fiction book aimed at older children. This was because of the wonderful illustrations on many of the pages, nice large one sometimes taking up half the page. Scarlett is at the stage of wanting to listen to (and sometimes read herself) something that is a bit more challenging, but as she is only 5 she still wants to see some pictures in books to help her imagine a scene.   She loved the story once it got going and loved the ongoing squabbles between Nixie and Adorabella. She became quite angry when Adorabella hid Nixies wand from her and told me it was stealing! She loved it when Nixies tried to help Tabitha Quicksilver with the lemon frosted cupcakes and ended up making them dance around the room!  A great book that was a light, easy read. Took a while to get going but in the end Scarlett really enjoyed it!

This tells the story of Nixie the fairy who is quite naughty. My grandaughter who turns 5 in August insisted on reading this herself to me. Its taken a while but the book is aimed at an older audience, this taken into consideration, the story itself is funny and appealing to younger girls as well. My grandaughter loved nixie, and the cheeky phase we are going though she/we could certainly relate. The illustrations, all be it stars and flowers on each page made the book more appealing especially when nixie herself appears, making sure she remained engaged in the story.
