Gorgeously illustrated and with a classic feel, this is a brilliantly funny story of a rabbit and a bear who discover that things are always better when they're shared with a friend. Ideal for readers moving on from picture books. 'A perfect animal double-act.' ( The Times , Book of the Week) SPLASH! A Mysterious Thing lands in Rabbit and Bear's peaceful summer lake. Is it exciting, or terrifying? Is it a tiny fluffy owl, or a huge hungry monster? And has Rabbit finally met a creature with worse habits than himself? Rabbit's SURE he can solve this mystery. But when he accidentally turns the Best Day Ever into the Worst Day Ever, he needs Bear's help ... From novelist and playwright Julian Gough, and the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, Jim Field, this is a tale of friendship, acceptance, and what you can do with blueberry poo.

'Rabbit's Bad Habits is a breath of fresh air in children's fiction, a laugh-out-loud story of rabbit and wolf and bear, of avalanches and snowmen. The sort of story that makes you want to send your children to bed early, so you can read it to them.' Neil Gaiman

Another great story in the Rabbit & Bear series, Attack of the Snack is beautifully illustrated with plenty of jokes to suit adults and five year olds alike! I read a few pages a night to my five year old as his bedtime story and he loved it. This is a great option to read to younger children who may be moving on/want a change from picture books or for more confident readers to read themselves. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely book!  We hadn't read any of the others so didn't know what to expect. It's full of the most beautiful illustrations and a level of text that is suitable for confident early readers.

The story of the friendship between the Bear and Rabbit is lovely, and the way it has a lovely moral story along with the silliness of burps and bums makes it a perfect read for any five year old!

We really enjoyed sharing this story together, reading shared too.  It would have been handy to have had some chapter breaks to make it easier for younger readers to stop and start but other than that a really lovely book enjoyed by both adult and child.

I received this in the giveaway and I didn't really know what to expect. It's a little longer than the books I normally read to my 5 year old so we read it in chunks, she never wanted it to stop! It's a great story, with great lessons to learn hidden in there. It's witty and funny for the parents to read, and it says bum and burp so of course it's hilarious to her. This is definitely a new favourite!

This is a great book and has many meanings to it. A rabbit wrongly has preconceptions about an owl that flies into a tree and falls asleep. So the rabbit rallies everyone into a frenzy and they put the owl into a prison. The owl wakes up and the rabbit realises he is wrong and apologies. It's a great book and my little girl liked it when the owl got free. The book then goes onto the habits of the owl and how it's ok that everyone is different. My little ones loved how the owl used the bear pop as wallpaper! Great book and they loved it.

My daughter thought that this story was hilarious! It's full of bottom related jokes and that really seemed to make her laugh....and read on independently! It's quite an endearing tale of friendship and has a good moral too. Although it's hardbacked and longer than her usual stories, it's very accessible and there are loads of illustrations to add to the humour!

This is a lovely hardback book, with beautiful illustrations throughout. My daughter loved both the bear and the rabbit and couldn't wait to learn more about the mysterious character! The map at the start engaged her and she wanted to find the different places and learn more about them in the story. It really is a lovely story of friendship and a great first step up from picture books. Would recommend for any young reader.

This book was brilliant for my 4 year old. She was in tucks laughing out loud at the silly story. Just the right amount of burp and fart jokes to make my kid laugh but also with a nice moral too, that we are all normal on the outside but wierd on the inside! Don't judge a book by it's cover and that it's ok to admit you make mistakes. I'm looking forward to finding the others in the series!

This is a great quality book, with really nice illustrations. This is a really fun story about friendship, which made my little boy laugh. It’s long, but perfect to read over a few nights and a nice change from picture books. This was really enjoyed and we will be looking for the others in this series too.

Attack of the snack is a funny book because rabbit thinks the animal with a flat face is super dangerous but he's wrong about that. Rabbit thinks that this 'creature' should be put in prison for doing crimes that he did not commit. When Rabbit makes a mistake he thinks that no one will like him but Bear tells him no one is perfect. All the other animals believe Rabbit except Bear who thinks he might be nice. When this bird wakes up he starts to explain where he had come from, then everyone apologies for everything they have done to him. All is well.

Highly recommend this book! We loved it! Don't be intimidated by the length of this 100 page book: it has lots of text, but also lots of images and keeps the focus of the kid the entire time. It's a perfect next step for kids (and adults) that want to move on from the simple picture books. We read it during the day and I thought my son would ask me to stop and continue next day, but it's such a fun book that we read it all in one go! Perfect!

My son said he loved the entire book when I asked him what he liked the most. It has nice illustrations, a nice story, that is funny and teaches that people can make mistakes, and that's fine, they just need to acknowledge that it was a mistake and say they are sorry. The book also has some information about owls, which my son really liked and he was explaining it to his dad afterwards. This is the first book of Rabbit and Bear that we've read, and now we really want to read the other ones! This is exactly the type of book that I think is ideal before moving to chapter books, because they don't have so many images. This one has as much images as a picture book and also the font of the text is great and easy to read, in some time my son will be definitely reading this book all by himself.

I really liked this book because I love animals and it’s very funny.  It’s the 3rd book in the series and the best one.  In the story the Owl gets put in a tree stump by Rabbit, Mole, Vole and Mouse.   The story is about whether Owl will get free.  I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the 4th book to come out.
The pictures in the book are lovely and it’s written on nice thick paper some of which is coloured. The book made me laugh out loud.

my daughter especially loved the entire story, there were parts where she laughed so much, and she really took an interest in what was happening.

When a mysterious thing lands in the lake, Rabbit and Bear can't decide if it's friendly or frightening. When Rabbit realises he has made a mistake, he apologizes and they all become friends. Leo found the story delightfully funny throughout. The book is fairly long with lots of great colourful illustrations, making it ideal for moving on from picture books. We haven't read the other books in the series so we will definitely be looking to read them next.
