The series will cover and expand upon the national curriculum's coverage of 'the earth, the Solar System and beyond' throughout KS3 and into the beginnings of KS4. Each book will examine how we know what we know about the Earth and beyond and chart the history of these discoveries. The series will also examine how much we don't know and what is still to be discovered and what plans are in place for future explorations. Other titles in this series include The Sun, Mercury, Mars and other Inner Planets, Jupiter, Pluto and other Outer Planets, Comets, Meteors and Asteroids and The Solar System.>
