Very sweet little book about Buster's trip to the zoo and all the animals he sees while he is there. The touch and feel is a lovely interactive addition. My girls still enjoy this age four but it's a perfect first book for babies and younger toddlers.

This is a cheerful book documenting little Buster's trip to the zoo. It's most suitable for babies and young toddlers.

It is a touch-and-feel book that provides sensory stimulation for your little one as you read: it's great for maintaining their interest in the book as well as providing an opportunity for associating textures with their verbal counterpart. The lift-the-flap ending was a nice surprise that my both my children enjoyed.

It is a simple story with simple prose - ideal for the target audience. The pictures are lovely and prompted my children to pull the book off me to examine them further. It's a sweet introduction to zoo animals.

It's a durable board book that has withstood abuse from two toddlers.

All in all, it's a lovely book that all little ones will enjoy.

Buster takes a trip to the zoo and sees all his favourite animals - lions, penguins, monkeys drinking tea. As a little tot, my daughter loved this touch and feel book - the shiny blue transparent plastic of the penguins ice rink, the fluffy monkey's tummy etc, and Buster's ride on the elephant at the end. Its made a reappearance in our reading as its simple and very familiar... making it really approachable for our preschooler as she takes her first steps at reading. A classic that every kid's book shelf should have.

Buster's Zoo offers a little more variety then the usual touch and feel book. For a start there's actually a little story to read and talk around rather than variations of the same phase as common in similar titles. The illustrations are bright and colourful but it's the textural elements that set this book apart. From a monkey hiding under a table cloth,  to the lift-the-flap ending, it's the variety in the level of interaction that captured the attention of my little readers.

We love Dear Zoo so thought we'd try another variant by the same author. Lovely to have a look around a zoo with textures rather than flaps. My daughter loved the different animals and feeling their skin, especially the snake and the monkey on the front! Nice and simple, suitable for the very young up to toddler.

This book is ideal for young children. Buster visits the zoo and we see a variety of different animals. It's a lovely interactive book; there are flaps to lift and different textures to touch. The pictures are bright and entertaining. Not too long and not many words, but that's great for younger ones. Like the other  Rod Campbell books, they are a hit with my little one, and once she's finished reading it she will want to read it over again
