Anne knew she was different to other girls and boys her age. She tried to fit in but things that seemed to come easily for the people around her were very hard for Anne.
One day, Anne's parents sat her down and told her something very interesting but a little scary. She had what they called Asperger's Syndrome. She didn't know what this meant and at first it just frustrated her more. So her parents explained that this is what made her so special. She sees the world differently to other people and that's very special indeed.
