The Everywhere Bear has a home on a shelf
But he doesn't spend very much time by himself,
For each boy and girl in the class is a friend
And he goes home with one of them every weekend. The Everywhere Bear has a wonderful time with the children in Class One, but one day he gets more than he bargained for when he falls unnoticed from a backpack and embarks on his own big adventure! He's washed down a drain and whooshed out to sea, rescued by a fishing boat, loaded onto a lorry, carried off by a seagull . . . how will he ever make it back to Class One? The Everywhere Bear is a warm and engaging story from Julia Donaldson and Rebecca Cobb, the creators of The Paper Dolls, which has sold over 200,000 copies worldwide and was shortlisted for the Kate Greenway Medal.

We are big Julia Donaldson fans- and love this book too. The story follows the adventures of a class bear. My daughter enjoyed guessing what might happen next. We also lent it to Year 1 at school for their story time. They loved it as the bear is from class 1- they also enjoyed guessing what might happen to him next.

You can always rely on Julia Donaldson! Another entertaining rhyming tale that all of my children enjoyed (ages 11,9,5 & 3), but particularly my 5yo who recently had her class bear home for a weekend. She loved reading through the bear's book about what her classmates did with their bear and The Everywhere Bear recreates this experience excellently and brings it to to another level with the adventures when he gets lost.
As with any illustrators Donaldson has worked with, the story is really brought.to life by Rebecca Cobb's wonderful work.

I won this book from Toppsta and read it to my Grandaughter aged nearly 5. She loved this rhyming story and particularly when the seagull picked up the bear and dropped it. When the children queued up outside the library she related to that and the fact there was a girl called Lily which is her name. She was pleased when the lady from the library found the bear and the class could take him back. A well written, well illustrated and colourful book from Julia Donaldson which I am sure will be read many times as my Grandaughter had just recently taken her class bear home for a weekend adventure.

I was very lucky to win this book.

I love that it's a special school bear like the one i have in my class at school.

The everywhere bear is really cute and i love the adventures he goes on, especially when he goes down the drain and when he goes in the water.

I thought the pictures were really good and i like how it rhymes. It is a really fun book especially for bed time reading.

A sweet story about a classroom bear that gets his very own adventure! From drains to seas to fishing boats to libraries, this bear sees it all!
My little one loved the fact that one of the school children had the same name as her (Lily) and she enjoyed pointing out the bear on every page. The illustrator, Rebecca Cobb, has done a wonderful job on the pictures, my personal favourite being the teacher putting bear in the washer after his big adventure.

This is my eldest daughters favourite story bear.

The story is all about a classroom bear which a child gets to take home each week. Sadly, he gets lost and goes on an adventure but the story ends happily.

Julia Donaldson has written a fun, rhyming book which is gorgeous to read aloud. We are huge fans of Rebecca Cobb's work, her illustrations are just so lovely.

This is a lovely story to share with your little ones.

I can't really add much new to the existing reviews.  Of course it's a five star book - Julia Donaldon at her best (again).  But the illustrations by Rebecca Cobb are lovely too.  It a story that lends itself to being used in school to encourage little ones to discover the joy of reading for themselves.  Which is why I'm hoping to use it with our own Library Bear and Reception classes.

Another fantastic book from Julia Donaldson. My eldest daughter could relate to the story as her preschool has a toy that goes home with the children too. She followed the story so closely to make sure the bear would get back to the children. The familiar rhythm of the words is fantastic as she likes to try and guess the last word in the 'verses'. The illustrations are beautiful and simple enough for my youngest daughter to also enjoy looking at them without there being too much for her to focus on.

My son (3 years old) was lucky enough to win this book. When I first saw it, I was skeptical as I thought it would be too old for him but as with all Julia Donaldson books, it didn't disappoint. My son loves to hear about what happens to a class bear. The illustrations are fab & we have loved reading the rhyming story over & over again!

We love Julia Donaldson. This book was a hit with my children, they loved that it featured their names! They’ve both brought home class bears and so was very relatable for them both. A lovely rhyming tale which kept them guessing what would happen next!

I love the rhyming text and the beautiful illustrations. The book would be ideal for using in school for literacy, giving the children lots of ideas for creating stories around the bear's adventures. I'm sure this will be a loved book in the future for my granddaughter when she is a little older.

What a fantastic story. We are in love with it.

The book is about the class bear who goes home with the children, it's instantly fun because meant children can relate to it. The bear gets lost (every parent ta nightmare when getting the class bear for the weekend)  and goes on an adventure but is eventually found and returned to the school.

It really is a lovely book, as with most Julia Donaldson books the pictures are brilliant. This is one of my son's favourites.

Julia Donaldson's done it again - a fabulous story following the adventures of Year One's Class Bear, who falls out of a student's bag on the way to school and is swept down a drain and out to sea. A trawling ship catches him alongside a school of cod, with him being sold as part of two crates to a local fishmonger. The shopkeeper on discovering the bear within her stock, throws him away in the bin..... sat on top of the rubbish dump, the bear's rather fishy smell attracts a bird... who scoops him up in his beak... but realising his mistake soon drops him.... fortuitously on the steps of the local library. Year One happen to be visiting to collect new books, and notice that **their** bear is in the lost property!! Back on the shelf in his classroom, the bear contemplates his recent adventure and decides he is well named - he really has been everywhere. My daughter particularly likes the last page, where the teacher can be seen taking him home for a good wash.

The Paper Dolls is one of our favourite books, so the combination of an excellent story and similar-styled illustrations has made it an instant hit. After the first read "its my favourite book - read it again". Rather hoping her school does the visiting "class bear" activity so we can read this book to that bear !!!

I thought that Leo might enjoy this book as he has others written by Julia Donaldson. He was immediately taken with all of the little vehicles illustrated on the inside of the cover, and throughout the book. When I began reading, with him following the words, he noticed that one of the characters was also called Leo. He was really interested to see what the Everywhere Bear did with each of the children and where he went when he was lost.

Another beautiful Julia Donaldson story, illustrated in the same style as Paper Dolls. The story's about the class bear who gets lost and has adventures on his own, will he ever make it back to school? Its got a wonderful rhythm to it when reading out loud

The children enjoyed this but certainly wasn’t one of their favourite Julia Donaldson titles which was why I gave it 4 stars. The illustrations were beautiful and the story was lovely too but wouldn’t be something I’d chose regularly for a story time session.

Beautifully illustrated rhyming tale about a classroom bear that goes on an unexpected adventure! This book kept my kids captivated throughout and the rhymathic rhyming text was a joy to read. The author and illustrator are a fantastic team and my son immediately made comparisons with their other book 'the paper dolls'z

The Everywhere Bear is about the class bear who goes home with the children in the class. But one day he falls out of the back pack and goes on his own adventures. At the end the class finds him in an unexpected place. We love Paper Dolls, which has a similar feel but my little ones didn't like this as much. It is s great story and the illustrations are lovely.

This book is beautifully presented and I loved the rhymes. I read the book to my daughter who is almost 4 months old, and my niece who is almost 4 years old. My niece was a bit upset when the bear went missing, but she enjoyed guessing where he was going to end up next. I love this author and cannot wait to read more of her books to my daughter.

This book is perfect for both toddlers and school children. Anyone who has had their child bring home a bear or toy from preschool or school, with a little book to tell everyone of their adventures, will appreciate this story. The rhyming story of the poor bears trip is great and made even better by Rebecca Cobbs gentle drawings, which I adore. The pictures really make the book for me as the story is a bit of a rip off of 'This is the bear' that has an adventure to the tip and also a brilliant children's book! This story the bear has lots of adventures and is a great bed time read.

Love julia Donaldson. Love rhyming stories. This isn't my favourite of her books but it's so a good one.

The story is about a class bear who belongs to class 1 and the fun he has with the class members until one day he finds himself lost. Will he find his way back to class 1?

I bought this book as my daughter had recently had her class monkey to entertain for the week so it seemed fitting.  She is year 1 but I felt this book was a bit young for her aged 6. It's a lovely story though but probably better suited for age 3 to 5.
