A beautiful comic style book that I read to my daughter on Christmas Eve.

Lovely size, excellent illustrations, requires an adult to read the story if for younger children but my 2 year old tells her own story from the pictures!

I love this book and the illustrations, they are as enchanting as the character of Father Christmas. Father Christmas is a warm, down to earth character with a good sense of humour. Its a perfect book to share with young children (or people who are young at heart) at Christmas, or any time of the year. Its on my shopping list for next Christmas as there are some little ones in my family who are a little too young for it in a paperback format this year, but next year will be perfect!

I really did not like this book and wish I had skim read it to myself before sharing with our children, as Father Christmas seems a dark and miserable character. I think it probably works better for older children when the magic of Christmas can start to subside.
