An old classic that will never grow old. Both my daughter and my son loved this book and it prompted us to watch both the old cartoon film and also the modern version. My children were a little sad to see poor Cinderella so hard done by at the hands of her evil step-mother and step-sisters but then it was a happy ending and they got what they deserved. My son always asks me "what happened to them?" as he wants to make they didn't get away with treating her in such a way, which just goes to show that children understand that bad actions always have a consequence.
A lovely read together, especially before you watch the film.
