Thanks to the Toppsta Community on FB we found this lovely book about starting school. Sophie has never been to nursery and she starts nursery class at school in September. This was the perfect book to prepare her. There are so many out there, but when somebody on Toppsta recommended this, it really stood out from the rest.

Mouse and friends - owl, frog and rabbit have Thier first day at treetop school with Miss Hoot. The story sensitivivly tackles first day nerves. It's funny and endearing.

We knew we love it because we are huge fan of illustrator Lydia monks - what the lady bird heard collection is one of our favourites. It definitely has that same bright colourful feel.

Highly recommend.

Mouse is scared about starting school, and when she is there she won't join in all the activities. As the day goes on, the mouse finally decides that school is the best and she can't wait to go the next day. My littles enjoyed it and can see how it could help little ones starting school. It's colourful with lovely illustrations but a little young for my 4 and 6yr olds.
