Emily Carr is one strange bird. She makes paintings nobody wants, keeps a houseful of animals, and often disappears into the woods in a tiny house on wheels. Her books have been selected for many honors, including Simon Wiesenthal Center's "Once Upon a World Children's Book Award" and the Norma Fleck Award for Children's Non-Fiction.
