I love this book more than I can say. It’s a hugely empowering, fun and fact-filled picture book about women who changed the world across very different fields, including Coco Chanel, Frida Kahlo, Marie Curie, Mary Anning, Mary Seacole, Amelia Earhart, Agent Fifi, Sacagawa, Emmeline Pankhurst, Rosa Parks, and Anne Frank. I want to push this book into the hands of every girl and tell them it will be okay. That they can do it. That we believe in them and that we’ve got their backs.

This is a great educational book about inspiring women who changed the world in many different ways. I read this book to my son who enjoyed hearing about all of the different things that these ladies did. He was very interested by how things used to be in the past and how the women changed things (for example Coco Chanel inspiring women to wear trousers, Rosa Parks challenging segregation and Emmeline Pankhurst spearheading the campaign for votes for women). In the interests of balance, he has asked if there is a book about fantastically great men who changed the world, so I am off to find something suitable! I am looking forward to reading this book to my daughter (currently aged 1) when she is older.

An inspiring read for my 10 year daughter, especially as she is called Rosa. The book is written with lots of little captions and sippets of information within the illustrations, making it a fun and quirky read. A great introduction to the lives of these famous women.

This book is a great introduction to women from history who were brave, daring and curious, and broke the mould. There are familiar figures such as Amelia Earhart and Jane Austen as well as less well-known women like Gertrude Ederle and Sacagawea. The book gives age-appropriate facts about their lives and really encourages girls to see themselves as capable of changing the world as well. The illustrations are really fun and engaging, just right for younger readers. (Review written by EFB's mum!)

I can't express how much i adore this book. Not only is it beautifully illustrated but it is so genuinely refreshing, humbling and empowering to find a book that focuses entirely on the achievements of women and how they changed the world.

Filled with astounding, amazing, inspiring and awesome women throughout the ages and how their discoveries, their adventures and their determination made contributions to completely revitalising the world as it was known.

I couldn't put it down, if fact when i do put it down i found myself picking it back up and looking through it again.

Highly recommended, best paired with Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers who changed the world.

I love reading about the brilliant women in this book. Each page has so many pictures and facts and it's really exciting to read. I like the page about Amelia Earhart best as she was an amazing pilot.

This is a cracking little book covering some of the important historical moments and some awesome females in history.  I confess that there were even a couple that I'd not heard of before - which is great because they've not just trotted out all the obvious contenders.
Spanning the Suffragette movement to swimming the English Channel it's a book full of big achievements for women.  It's presented in a really fun way with lots of witty illustrations and short bullet pointed facts, which makes it nice and easy for younger readers to digest.
Perfect for boys and girls - a great way of introducing history!
