As the snow falls heavily at the North Pole, the Little Reindeer sees the lights blazing from the factory room and shadowy figures rushing around, laden down with parcels. He ventures closer and ends up wrapped up in Christmas paper and flying away on Santa's sleigh. The next morning, he is found on a roof overlooking a city by a young boy. A unique friendship develops between them as the year progresses. But, when the snow begins to fall a year later, the Little Reindeer and his young friend realise where he truly belongs.
