Welcome to SPRUNG, the Society for the Pursuit of the Reputedly Undead, Namely Ghosts!

The Ghostkeeper's Journal is a completely new book and app experience which takes you into a magical world of ghosts and spirits. Powerful new Augmented Reality effects lead you through a gripping story that lets you become the hero. Follow the story through the Journal, then view the pages through the Ghost-o-Matic app to see pictures move, reveal hidden messages, and trap dangerous phantoms.

Agamemnon White - SPRUNG Ghostkeeper, child prodigy and tuna sandwich obsessive - has gone missing. All that remains of him is his Journal. As the head of Ghostkeeping for the Western region, Ag was collecting the most powerful ecto-energy types known to man in this very book. Your task? Read Ag's Journal and use the app to retrace his footsteps and help rescue him.

You'll join a team of unconventional ecto-sensitive SPRUNG Operatives including paranormal gadget inventor Lily Zhang, secretive psychic librarian Nettie Dahl, and the enigmatic and powerful Darko Mantich. Not to mention Jeremiah Goodrough, SPRUNG's legendary and magnificently bearded founder. Together, you just might piece together the mystery.

But beware... the moment you open this book, you will release the ghosts Ag trapped inside. It's up to you to recapture them and solve the mystery of his disappearance... without disappearing yourself!

This was such and interesting book. I found using the app and the AR alongside reading was really appealing. I felt like it was almost a game. Not too scary but had some spooky aspects. Overall it was a great book, especially for the Halloween season

"Wow, best Toppsta giveaway EVER!" William (Age 10)

I've only just started reading this book but I've never read anything quite like it, it's really different and really quite fun! The Augumented reality is really cool and has loads of visuals and sound effects. I love that it's also really interactive and that you have to solve clues as you go along. You can't cheat and move along too quickly as you have to collect energy on the way.

I will review this book again when I'm finished, but safe to say, I am really, really enjoying it. It's like a computer game and book all in one!

I was fascinated and a bit sceptical to read a book that claimed to have an interactive app. I thought it would be a bit of a gimmick. I was wrong! It was a really great book and the app just made it even better. I can see why other reviewers thought the app content made it a bit scary in places but I just thought it was great.

This is a really fun book that is good to persuade people to read. Instead of just reading a boring book you can get out your phone or iPad and enjoy playing along whilst reading. The app is free. It makes it even scarier if you believe in ghosts like me. Catch them all and know the secrets of Ag's death. I loved this book and loved the fact that I was treated like a real detective or in this case ghost hunter. Not suitable for children under 9. BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!

Wow this book is so different, be ready to cross into  the world of ghosts. Love to read this with my friends they love the app it is almost like playing a game together but reading at same time. The characters are interesting but the way you use the app with the book makes it special! You will love this book, if you love tech and things that go bump in the night.

this cutting edge book embraces three d visualisation via an app and is an excellent present for 11-13 years old, and works like an adventure that you actually go on through the app that makes the ghosts and other spooks manifest! recommended.

This is very clever.  A book of ghosthunting and spooks with pretty impressive augmented reality (courtesy of the associated app that you need to download).   We are only just beginning with it really and have already had fun "catching" balls of energy from around our room.  It's a bit too old for Lucas at the moment and I have to admit that, even as an adult, getting the correct shapes for the ghosts or finding the right things takes a bit of time and effort.  It's one that we'll need to come back to in a couple of years to fully appreciate I think.  The augmented reality stuff is really clever though and it's a big impressive looking book which would keep slightly older spook hunters occupied for hours.  A brilliant concept that mixed gameplay with reading!  I'd have given it 5 but for the fact that I found it so tricky!!
