All Walker wants is a dog, but his mother is allergic. So he decides to set up his own business walking everyone else's dogs. This works better than he could have imagined when he finds he can talk to dogs and understand what they say to him! The dogs tell him of a terrible puppy farm hidden in the woods by Arlington Wherewithall, the richest, most famous man in the area. Nobody will listen to him, so it is down to Walker and the dogs to stop the farm and save the puppies.

I really liked this book as I love dogs. Walker is a really good character and I love that he can talk to the dogs. This is a very funny book with a great ending and I would recommend it for all people to read.

A delightful book which myself and Granddaughter are reading together
It certainly has got her imagination going and now she’s wondering if she can communicate to our dog like the boy in the story.
I’m sure she will enjoy reading this again herself and will probably get a different view of the story .
At the moment she’s focused on next doors dog or even ours to boost her pocket money .

I thought this book was really exciting and I thought that Walker was a great character who was pretty brave. I love dogs so I think that it would have been hard for Walker to know that he couldn't have his own dog. It's quite an unusual talent to talk to dogs and I enjoyed the exciting rescue! I would recommend the book for children in Year Two or Year Three who like dogs and adventures.

I recommend this book, especially if you like dogs, like me! I liked the funny illustrations. The story is about a boy who can talk to dogs. It's a story about good against evil. It is one of the first books I have read on my own. I liked it.

At first I wasn’t sure how this story would go, simply about a young boy who walks dogs. It’s cleverly written and follows the adventures of Walker a young boy who loves dogs and has a special gift and can talk to them. The story has a great ending and is lots of fun to read.

This story is about a boy named Walker who *really* wants his own pet dog but his parents are set against it. On a journey home he sees a woman walking dogs and his mum explains that some people get paid to walk lots of dogs. Walker thinks this has to be the most amazing job ever! He decides to secretly set up a business to walk dogs by placing an ad in the local news agents. Success! While walking his first dog, Walker learns that he can speak to dogs - he's a dog whisperer!

This book has lots of lovely illustrations throughout to help convey what's happening. A wonderful mystery adventure that any 8+ year old would enjoy.

I read this book to my daughter and we both really enjoyed it, rubys best bit is how walker sets up his own business and walking the dogs mine is how he can talk to the dogs and gets information of them. We both love the little pictures you get in the book. This book is a mystery and adventure in one book but we will not give any spoilers away
