It's blowing up a storm, and a boy and his grandad decide it's the perfect weather for kite-flying. There's just one problem - first they have to find the kite. Their search brings up lots of wonderful memories of previous adventures together, but when they finally make it outside, their adventure really takes off!

I really liked this book. The pictures are very detailed, and even after reading the story I went back and talked to my mum about the pictures. The story is very good, and not too many difficult words which meant I could read it without any help. My favourite page is the one with all the kites, I spent ages looking at that page and finding more details in it every time I looked.

Wow! Despite not being able to read myself just yet, I loooved this book. Mommy and I have gone through several times now. I have learnt what a kite is and I’m looking forward to going out with my own grandad to test our first kite. The book is truly inspiring. I liked it because the pictures are colorful and detailed, they present current autumny weather, which is what I liked. I was curious to find out what was going to happen on the next page and how the story ends. I think I will be asking mommy to read the book with me over and over again.

We enjoyed reading this book together and thought it was a lovely book for this time of year. The story is about a boy and his grandad looking for a kite to fly in the stormy weather but instead they find other things around the house that bring back memories. The illustrations have lots of detail and we found a lot to talk about with every page.

I recently read Storm to the PBBNursery class because our theme at the moment is Autumn. The story features a little boy and his Grandad who hunt all over their house for a kite because it is the perfect windy day outside. The watercolour illustrations beautifully enhance this imaginative tale, leaving children with so much to discuss as they discover hidden details. Sam Usher's style of illustrations fondly reminds me of stories that I read as a child - colourful, comical and memorable. It's a lovely story to share!

Leo really enjoyed this windy adventure story about a boy and his grandad. Memories of their previous adventures together were brought up during their search for a kite. Will they make it outside for another adventure? You'll have to read and find out! It's the perfect book to snuggle up with and enjoy together on a wet and windy day.

We loved this book. It's so atmospheric and perfect for this time of year. Having read Snow, we recognised Grandad, the boy and the house. It's a really windy day and the they are trying to find their kite. When they finally get outside, they are blown away, literally. That's was definitely our favourite bit and we loved seeing all the kites. Lovely book!!

I like the book because the pictures are really detailed and really nice. When I first started reading it I wondered what would happen at the end. I think 2-6 year olds would like it.

A beautifully illustrated story that will engage children aged 2-6 years old. A perfect way to take the edge off the scariness of Storms with little ones. Really great story for kids that have a close bond with their Grandad.

I really like this book about a windy storm.  I like it because its about family and makes me think of the fun things I do with my Grandad.  I think that flying a kite on a windy day sounds lots of fun and I really liked the pictures with all the flying kites.

I read this book on my own and think younger children would really enjoy it, especially all the fun pictures.
