My sister and i are really enjoying looking through this French English Dictionary together. The first half translates French into English and the second half translates English into French. Under each translation there is often a sentence using the word too. The best bit is in the middle section, French words for lots of things, including animals, jobs, food and places. There are more animals in here than we've been taught at school, which is great. I'm using the dictionary to help me while I'm writing a story. A really good book if you are learning French at school, like me.

My class were really pleased to look at this book today. It is split in to two halves, french-english, and then english-french, and they agreed that this was useful for their learning.  They thought the layout was good and easy to use. The middle section has great quick and easy references eg the weather, food, sports, jobs and the environment to name just 5 of the 23 reference sections ! As a teacher I like the fact under each word has a sentence with an example of how the word is used, extremely useful! I'd definitely buy it for my class at school, but also to have a home.  A great little french dictionary that's accessible to all!

I’ve started to learn French at school and this dictionary is very helpful because it includes lots of useful words and lots of examples how to use words. The language tips are good and there are interesting facts throughout. It is easy to find the word you are looking for and the drawings make it more fun. There is a part called Language Plus that includes lots of word list like a list of animal names and food items and a small section on common verbs. I will use this a lot to help me with my homework.

Me and my younger sister really like this dictionary. It's got a great category sections as well as the words in alphabetical order. Everything there is clear and well organised and the illustrations are sweet. However I think the guide to pronunciation would be very helpful. I remember some rules from school but it would be great to have them in this book as well. I think this dictionary makes learning fun.

This dictionary is really good for learning to speak French. As well as words, there are common phrases that you can learn and combine to work out other phrases. I didn't like the pictures because they weren't bright enough and looked like they were faded. It would be good if the dictionary told you how to pronounce the words.
