With a father overseas in the military, and a mother busy selling real estate, 13 year old Cooper Marshall spends much of his life painting in his small, basement studio or lofty tree house. Almost no one is aware that this boy is a genius who can reproduce paintings in the style of the great masters...but one person does. Cooper Marshall decision to forge a masterpiece and replace it with a painting of his own has a dramatic affect on the lives of people throughout Digger Hills. Events spin out of his control when a Orun-awayO painting meanders its way through town, touching and altering the lives of anyone who touches it. Partnering up with Mississauga Slaughter, (a young girl named after a rattlesnake) they desperately try to track it down. This adventure leads to excitement, drama, and self-discovery as they search for the missing painting.
