This wonderful colouring activity book introduces children to 15 wonders of the world, a selection spanning mankind's history from antiquity to modern times; namely, the lighthouse of Alexandria, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the chryselephantine statue of Zeus at Olympia, the temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, the Eiffel Tower, Stonehenge, the Taj Mahal in Agra, the Saint Peter's Basilica and the Colosseum in Rome, the Great Wall of China and Timbuktu. The common thread of the book is the story of three lovable characters: Penny Hue, Dorian the Historian and Lenny Legend. They travel in space and time thanks to a time machine and visit historic sites. They meet legendary and historical figures, play with the reader, have fun and recount the real story of each wonder and its special legend. Thanks to this wonderful book, children can play, colour, read and discover the world! Each wonder is presented over 3 to 4 pages, including 2 to 3 pages of colouring activities, a brief history and legend connected with the site, which is illustrated to offer another colouring activity. A very special folding model is featured on the central pages of the book: a colourful miniature 3D-model of the Colosseum.
